Awesome sampler

Review Date: December 23, 2009

If you like hardcore, it's a great sampler. I knew most of the bands off this, and fell in love with the rest of them. I hope another one comes out soon.

For the one review, if you don't enjoy the music, don't listen to it.
...and you're a douche.

If you don't like Hardcore Music, then don't listen to it...that's why Amazon is so friendly in giving you the option to preview songs. It is music, and it is entertaining. I am sure that I would find whatever hippie garbage crap you listen to to be un-entertaining, but I doubt I would say that it is not music. Read a dictionary, stay the hell out of the pit and you'll be just fine.

To anyone else...if you like hardcore this is a pretty good sampler from some, at least to me, unknowns...Download it and melt your face!
Multiple genres, one is not my style

The risk of putting out an album as a free sampler is that some people who listened to the music will hate it and rate it. With that said, I hate screaming metal, so I hated all but four songs on the album. Those four songs convinced me to rate it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2.

I loved "400" by Energy (hard rock, but with melodies and harmonies, and fast-paced percussion with slow-paced lyrics), and I think it could thrive with mainstream radio attention.

I liked "Living Saints" by Polar Bear Club (the angriest of my four picks, but you can understand almost everything, you can hear the music, and they have talent).

I liked "Sunday" by H2O (reminded me strongly of "Better off Dead" by Bad Religion).

I appreciated "Hand of Glory" by Strike Anywhere (slightly less eloquent and slightly faster than Bad Religion).

So although there isn't something for everyone, there is some decent stuff in this album, even if you hate screaming death metal.
loud, screaming, trash

If you are into metal or just like loud music with the "artists" screaming a bunch of stuff you can't understand, they you will love this. It was a waste of my time listening to it. To me, this is NOT music or entertaining.
